The global pandemic has been a strange and worrying time for many of us and something that has changed how we have been living our lives for the past year. One area that has been infected the worst has been business where many small businesses have struggled to stay afloat during this period or have even had to close all together. One of the main changes that we are likely to see moving forward, and this would have happened regardless of the pandemic or not, is the shift from high-street shops to online business. During the pandemic, many of us have been worried to leave the house to do our shopping so have been using online alternatives to do their shopping. We always knew since the introduction of the internet that the world would be going digital but due to the pandemic, this seems to have been speeded up as many of us now are using online alternatives.

One industry in which this has proved correct has been the online gambling industry in which many now won’t need to travel to a land-based gambling sites as they can now log onto online gambling sites here for them to gamble in the comfort of their own homes. These particular sites are offering the opportunity to bet of some of your favourite sports without the worry that your betting will be limited by gamstop.

One change that we are also expecting to stay post-pandemic is that of remote working which has become one of the biggest successes of the pandemic. To combat the spread of the virus, many office workers have been forced to work from home which has proved very successful and so moving forwards we can see office workers continuing with remote working and the potential of having the split between office/home working life. Remote working has given benefits to both employers and employees and so long life the success of remote working.  One of the main benefits to working from home has been the monetary saving elements that it has given to the employees where they are saving on travel costs and lunches but also business owners who have saved on not having to pay rent for the offices whilst they aren’t working there.
